As part of the Niles Vision 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update process, the Village and The Lakota Group conducted a Community Visioning Workshop September 29, 2021, from 6-8pm, at the Niles Senior Center. Thanks to everyone who participated in this fun event and shared valuable feedback to help influence and shape the vision and future of the Village! Were you not able to attend? No worries! During the event we shared information with the community about the Comprehensive Planning process; and engaged the community to gather feedback on ideas for improving the Village – including establishing policy goals, determining priorities for investment, and ultimately helping to determine the character and identity of the Village in the future. The event featured interactive stations with exercises such as mapping of future improvement areas, exploring the desired character of major districts and corridors, and how to help improve the Village’s quality of life and make Niles the best it can be!
