Denise McCreery, Co-Chair

Trustee McCreery has been a Niles resident for 25 years. She works as the Marketing Director for a local medical office. She is a Village of Niles Trustee, and a member of the Niles Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Niles Lions Club.


Craig Niedermaier, Co-Chair

Trustee Niedermaier has been a Niles resident for more than 40 years. He is an award-winning creative director in the advertising industry. He is a Village of Niles Trustee, and also serves as the president of the Niles Baseball League.


Collin Baker

Mr. Baker has been a Niles resident for 21 years. He is a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning. He is currently a member of the American Planning Association. At school he was a member of the Community Planning Club, which frequently gave input and collaborated with the City of Ames.


Michael DeSantiago

Mr. DeSantiago has been a Niles resident for 21 years. He is recently retired, having served as the co-founder and CEO of a 200+ employee engineering firm which served municipal clients. He is a Trustee of the Chicago Zoological Society, a member of the Conservation & Policy Council for the Cook County Forest Preserve District, and is a Northwestern Memorial Hospital Foundation Board member.


Tom Kanelos

Mr. Kanelos has been a Niles resident for 31 years. He works as a builder. He has been involved at the St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church as Parish Council member for 27 years (including 6 terms as president), a member of the Niles Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission (now Planning and Zoning Board) for 12 years (seven years as chairman), and a member of the Niles 2030 Comprehensive Plan Committee.


Adam Konopka

Mr. Konopka has been a Niles resident for six years. He is a partner in a law firm in Chicago. He is currently on the Chicago Society of the Polish National Alliance (Advocate and current 1st Vice President), and is an instructor with the Polish Scouting Organization.


Janet Lee

Ms. Lee has been a Niles resident for 17 years. She works as a consultant in the technical field with a focus on the end user. She is also a member of Toastmasters, the Village of Niles Economic Development and Neighborhood Renewal Committee (EDNR), and Culver School PTA.


Joe Maccione

Mr. Maccione has been a Niles resident for seven months. Professionally, he manages commercial and industrial buildings in the Chicago suburbs and in his spare time, he assists residential buyers, sellers, lessors, and lessees in their real estate needs.


Dennis McEnerney

Mr. McEnerney has been a Niles resident for 63 years. He is the Chief of Police for the Village of Golf. He has been involved in the Village of Niles in many capacities and was involved in the Niles 2030 Comprehensive Plan as an employee of Niles.


John Murphy

Mr. Murphy has been a Niles resident for three years. He is the President of a web-based email and social media marketing firm. As a prior resident of Park Ridge, he was on the board of the Park Ridge Historical Society from 2009 to 2019 and served as the president 2018/2019 until moving to Niles.


Scott O'Brien

Mr. O’Brien has been a Niles resident for 37 years. He is the Vice President of an electrical construction company. He is also a Niles Park District Commissioner and the Vice President of the 911ECA organization, a group of electrical contractors that are focused on helping each other survive in times of need.


Mike Shields

Mr. Shields has been a Niles resident for 48 years. He is currently retired, having worked for Abbot Laboratories for over 25 years in planning and financial management, most recently as a Senior Financial Manager. He has been a very active member of the Niles community, having contributed his time to a number of Boards, Commissions, and Niles endeavors, including the Niles Milwaukee Avenue Beautification Committee, the Niles 2030 Comprehensive Plan Development and Implementation Committee, the Bike and Pedestrian Safety Steering Committee, the Economic Development and Neighborhood Renewal Commission.
